1951-52 Season
|
This programme was produced for the Corinthian League Memorial Shield Final against Hounslow on Easter Monday 14th April 1952.
This was the equivalent of their League Cup and was named after an incident during World War Two.
Hounslow were to complete a League and Cup Double with this 2-1 but they trailed to Denis Ford's goal for over forty minutes before two goals in a minute won the Cup for the West Londoners in front of 5,000 spectators. The crowd would surely have been larger still, had the game been held in London.
