25th August 2014
Welcome to the latest Club update.
We have played twice over the Bank Holiday weekend with limited success.
Five times we were behind over the period but fought back on four of those. Although the 3-2 defeat at Colliers Wood United and the 2-2 home draw with Horley Town only gave us one point and left us in fourteenth place, Lyndon will have been pleased with our battling qualities, although he probably won't be so happy with conceding five times in the first place!
We now turn our attention to the F.A.Cup with the visit of Croydon on Saturday being potentially a pivotal match in our season.
A prize of £1,950 and a home tie against Burgess Hill or Eastbourne Town await the winners, providing an opportunity to win a further £3,000. Why can't that team be us?
Because of flying back from this side of "the pond" the website won't update with full details until late Sunday but please remember that we have the up to date results banner available on the front page that links direct to the F.A. site.
Normal service will be resumed next Monday!
Come on you Salts!
