3rd November 2014
Welcome to the latest Club update.
On the field To be totally honest we had a bit of a disaster at Lingfield on Saturday. To paraphrase Blackadder, we started poorly and then it got worse and the less said about the end, the better!
The 5-1 defeat was entirely fair and was our worst ever Vase defeat, eclipsing even the nightmare trip to Cowes Sports in the mid-nineties when we ended up with nine men and lost 5-2.
So we are back to League action as we travel to Bedfont Sports this Saturday in a match brought forward from 20th December, which is a smart move on the part of both teams. We then face trips to Cove and Mole Valley SCR before hosting Molesey on Saturday 22nd November.
Off the field The club had one bright spark this weekend and that was the appearance of our new kit, generously provided by Intercem and in particular Malcolm Shelbourne a former player at the club. The club is very grateful for their support.
Come on you Salts!
