11th April 2016
Welcome to the latest Club update.
It's been another good week for Salts supporters!
Our Saturday 4-1 win over Badshot Lea was our third in a row by at least three clear goals. If we were to achive a similar or greater win at AFC Hayes on Tuesday it would be the first time we'd done it four times in a row since 1974!
Unfortunately our wins are currently being matched by Ashford and Camberley, the latter of which also won two midweek matches and now sit in second place.
It looks as though the team that will go up will be whichever of Ashford or Camberley get the best result when they play us. If we were to win both though, then a little help elsewhere might still open the door. All we know is that we have five matches left and need to win the lot.
Following the AFC Hayes trip we host Camberley Town on 16th April. Of the 87 previous meetings between the clubs, few have been as important. Camberley hold the edge right now and are current favourites for that promotion spot, so it could be argued that the pressure is on them, but it could equally be said that we are the ones playing catch up. Either way it is expected that we will see a great contest on Saturday and a Salts win would be great!
So on Saturday, all roads lead to High Road. Come on down and support your club where there will also be the first opportunity to vote for your player of the Year too. If you are a club member your vote counts double! Also, the Super Six jackpot sits at a healthy £180 so there's plenty going on this weekend!
Come on you Salts!
