Welcome to the latest Club update.
One step forward followed by one step back seems to be the story of the season on the field.
Last week it all looked good as South Park and Camberley both dropped points, and Camberley then dropped further points at Frimley on Thursday. All we needed to do was keep going ourselves.
Unfortunately we were unable to negotiate a tricky but winnable match at Bedfont Sports where we led twice and allowed the hosts few chances, but somehow they still managed to get a 2-2 draw out of the game, leaving us two points further back on our challengers who both won again.
This places us back in third, a massive fifteen points behind South Park. However, all is not lost just yet. Coming up are some very tough games for all three clubs and we will know a lot more about our chances by next Tuesday.
We have three home games against fourth placed Windsor, second placed Camberley and in form Cove. However, South Park face Cove, Molesey and Wembley, before hosting Camberley and Camberley play at Alton Town, before visiting ourselves and South Park.
In a perfect world we will be nine points better off and South Park will have lost all four of theirs and we will be six behind with three games in hand and a home game against South Park to come. However, in the real world, all we can do is take care of our own business and hope. It really could be a fascinating end to the season but we need a little help. Believe!
Come on you Salts!
