Tr= aining starts at Epsom College on Tuesday 4th July at 7pm. It will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm when we do not have a match.  
June 17 League reorganisation results in Windsor transferring to the Hellenic League and we will drop to 22 clubs. There a= re an extra 12 promotion spots this season
but it is not yet clear how these are to be allocated. Also rumoured that we will drop to a division of 20 next season because of the expansion higher up, so it looks
like two up and none relegated from Step Four (except = the bottom club from Ryman South) while three go down and three come up as us= ual, but if we don't promote a
sec= ond club, or get the relegated Ryman club, then less will be promoted from Step Six accordingly.      
June 17 Two friendlies arranged with Loxwood and Walton Casuals so far. As usual this seems like a very poorly organised arrangem= ent, despite much 
dis= cussion over securing a home venue for some friendlies throughout the season at Commit= tee level.      
Jun= e 17 We are likely to request another home fixture on Good Friday. Colliers Wood have already expressed an interest again.    
Jun= e 17 AGM is to be on Sunday 30th July at Green Man pub.            
June 17 Daryl Cooper-Smith and James Taylor leave club= for Sutton Common Rovers. There may be others as SCR are throwing a bit of mo= ney at some of our players.
06/06/17 it is later confirmed that Matt Tanton and Ma= tt Farrell, Craig Hastings and Jordan Gallagher are all leaving for SCR too while Michael Eacott is leaving for 
Han= worth Villa along with Steve Eacott. Disappointing.              
June 17 we have arranged another friendly at Lingfield= on July 8th while it appears that our match with Loxwood will now be played = at Steyning Town on their new
art= ificial surface.

Ju= ne 17 Rumoured that former players Jamie Hatfield, Ben Hayward, Mark Jarman and Kyle Hough may be returning for training this season.   
June 17 also rumoured that some of the Leatherhead Und= er 21 academy may be coming to training, although Guildford City announce th= at three of their players are
following their former Manager Neil Grant over to Guildford where he is now Assistant Manager. Glyn is confident that they = will still be coming to training.
24/6/17 At the League AGM our club wins the Best Administered Club award for the first time. We also win the Best Programme award for the fourth time in seven 
ye= ars, proving my theory that no club can retain it, as in our best two seasons of programmes (2011/12, 2015/16) we did not win it.  
24/6/17 Also at the Leagus AGM the draw is completed f= or the League Cup after an initial error which required a re-draw. We visit Worcester Park on a Saturday,
qu= ite possibly on the Vase week when we have an exemption, and the winners will visit ei= ther CB Hounslow or Eversley & California.  
4/= 7/17 Training starts at Epsom College. Former players Ben Hayward and Mark Jar= man attend as well as a number of new faces. 25 in attendance.  
6/7= /17 Training continues and Jamie Hatfield re-joins the club.            
7/7/17 Friendly arranged with Petersfield Town at Poole Road Rec. Steve Dyke managed to source the pitch and it will be the first time the first team have played a
match in the Borough since July 27th 1993!! Many friendlies just outside (Banstead, Chessington, Goals, Tolworth, Surbiton Town, Northey Avenue) but none inside.
7/7/17 FA Cup draw gives us a home draw with Banstead Athletic on Sunday 6th August as Chipstead are using the pitch on the Saturday. The winners are at 
home to Loxwood or Holmesdale. It would be our first meeting with either team if you exclude the upcoming friendly with Loxwoo= d. We are exempt in the Vase.
8/7/17 Our first friendly at Lingfield doesn't go well= as we are beaten 4-1 at the South Godstone Sports Ground. The scoreline was harsh as we conceded twice near <= /td>
the end while pushing for an equaliser but we had an enormous number of new faces present. Only Alex McKay, Ali Turpie and Dan= iel Rose had put on an Epsom shirt 
before and in a match of three x 30 minutes we conceded after 25 minutes before being caught out by a quickly taken free kick aft= er 51. Vitor Monteiro headed in to <= /td>
reduce the arrears after 75 but goals after 83 and 90 sealed our fate, one of which was offside but Daniel Rose was running the line at the time and was stretching his 
cal= f when the long ball was played!                
July 17 Joe Loftus-Cheek signs for the club after join= ing from the Leatherhead U21 Academy along with Ben ?. Guildford had announced that they were signed for them,
but= the signings were deemed invalid as none could be accepted unrtil July 1st.

15/7/17 Epsom lead 2-0 at half time but have to settle= for a 2-2 draw against Petersfield Town in a friendly played at Poole Road; o= ur first in the Borough since July 1993.
Ne= w signing Tayo Ajayi scored both goals with good finishes after 18 and 40 but we weakened in the second half and conceded after 63 and 67.  
22/7/17 Epsom lead Loxwood 2-1 at half time but lose 5= -3 in a match played on the 3g surface at Steyning Town. Tayo Ajayi equalise= d in the 34th minute by lobbing
the keeper after we had conceded on 24 and the returni= ng Kyle Hough scored a penalty after 42 after he had been fouled. They equal= ised after 50 and then scored after 
77 = and 80 to go 4-2 up and although Sam Robinson pulled one back after 86, they scored a fifth goal in the 90th minute.    
22/7/17 Kyle Hough has signed for the club. Others who signed in recent weeks include Sam and Matt Robinson, Tayo Ajayi, Jordan Brooks (Farleigh) and Dale 
Mar= vell, although he isn't yet fit to play.                
25= /7/17 League fixtures are released and we start at CB Hounslow United on 12/8/17 in wh= at will be the first competitive match at their new ground.  
29/7/17 Epsom crash 5-0 in their latest friendly at Wa= lton Casuals who were much the better side, although Ajayi had a penalty saved= in the 17th minute at 0-0 and we
conceded after 32 and 44. Further goals came after 48,= 70 and 73. The Robinsons were away on holiday while Hough was also missing. A few new faces were 
pre= sent but none really impressed as we were beaten heavily in the pouring rain.        
30/= 7/17 AGM at Green Man in Ewell Village. No major surprises and everyone re-elected as= at top of this sheet.    
Aug= 17 Mick Sorensen retires from teaching and lives in Norwich            
1/8= /17 Corinthian Casuals friendly is moved to the back pitch at their ground fr= om Surbiton Town.      
1/8/17 Epsom score twice in a three minute spell to de= feat Corinthian Casuals 2-0. Glyn rotated a squad of 20 players and Dale Marve= ll came on for the first time
since his injury playing for Colliers Wood around nine months previously. Joe Loftus-Cheek put us ahead in the 14th minute with a fine individual goal and Rob Hendry 
made it 2-0 in the 17th as he rose highest to glance B= en Dyson's left sided cross into the far corner. We had a stronger team out = than Saturday while the opposition 
wer= e not so strong. Match finished a little early as we started a little late. Nine minutes unplayed.      
6/8/17 Epsom have a horror start and lose 2-1 at home = to Banstead Athletic in the FA Cup at High Road. We were behind after just 50 seconds and although a Hendry
penalty after 9 minutes drew us level for a foul on Loftus-Cheek, we were second best for much of the game and conceded to a = good run and low shot after 83 minutes.
6/8/17 our defeat means that our league match at Sutton Common Rovers will now take place on Monday 21/8/17 as they still have an= FA Cup tie on the Saturday.
12/8/17 Epsom lead but lose 4-2 in the opening league match at CB Hounslow United. Joe Loftus-Cheek scored a great individual g= oal to put us ahead in the 21st
minute but CB Hounslow equalised in the 36th minute wh= ile we were briefly down to ten men and we conceded in first half injury time. Further goals followed after 52
and= 70 with Hough finishing off a loose ball in the 86th minute but it was too late. Charlie McKee HT for CB Hounslow United.    
15/8/17 First half horror show as Chertsey lead inside= two minutes and are 4-1 up after 15, extending this to 6-1 after 31 minutes. = Joe Loftus-Cheek equalised after 5
minutes but Jamie Hatfield had been injured in the war= m up and had to be substituted by Hayward after 19 minutes. We went 7-1 down a= fter 56 but a Hendry penalty
for a foul on Loftus-Cheek completed the scoring as we were crushed 7-2, our worst home defeat since a 6-0 defeat at Merstham by Molesey on 6th March 2012.
It was the first time we had conceded seven goals home= or away since Crowborough wion 7-1 in the FA Cup ten years ago this week and= the 19th time in history we had
conceded 7 or 8 at home. It was the first time we had conceded six in the first half and only the fourth time in history, three= of those at home. Right now we are
se= cond from bottom of the table, above Farnham on goals scored. Jamie Hatfield has purchased a set of shirts for the players. A generous donation.  
15/= 8/17 Ben Hayward became the first substitute to be substituted since April 2011 and the ninth in history.      
18/= 8/17 Surrey Senior Cup draw gives us a trip to SCR!! Match to be played on Monday 27/11/17.      
19/= 8/17 No game for Epsom as they were out of the FA Cup but SCR weren't. Moved to Monday 21/08/17.      
Au= g 17 We sign six new players, four on a 28 day loan from Chipstead. The others Andy Sm= ith and Ashley Thompson are from Banstead.  
Th= e four players are: Ishmael Erskine, Keanu Williams, Tony Martin and Dylan Casco= e. Cascoe had played in USA recently and Williams in Spain.  
21/8/17 Salts lose 5-0 at SCR and for the third match = in a row a player scores a hat trick against us. This time the very familiar D= aryl Cooper-Smith who only came
on in the second half!. We were competitive until conceding a soft goal after 42 minutes and then regular goals followed af= ter 50, 55, 78 and 89. Former player Craig
Has= tings headed the first goal and Reisse Griffin scored an unfortunate own goal for their fourth.      
21/= 8/17 This loss moves us to the bottom of the table without a point.          
21/8/17 FA Cup draw comes out and Chipstead are away s= o we will host Redhill on 2nd September as planned. They had also been given a home League game.
25/8/17 Another heavy defeat follows at Colliers Wood United and we are 4-0 down at half time after conceding after 16, 27, 35 = and 44. Tayo Ajayi finished well fith a
flick over the advancing keeper after 49 but we were c= ut apart again after 57 minutes as they restored the four goal lead. Kyle Ho= ugh scored our second with a smart
fin= ish from an angle in the 90th minute.                
Aug= 17 Gary Jarman joins the Epsom Committee with no specific role at this stage.        
Aug= 17 two former Salts rejoin the club in Scott Murphy (Woking) and Sean White (Wal= ton & Hersham).      
Aug= 17 David Thomson joins the club. Recently playing Sunday football.          
28/8/17 We nearly get our first three points of the se= ason but have to settle for a draw from our trip to Banstead as an 86th minute equaliser cancels out Kyle Hough's
50th minute opener. Banstead were the better side thou= gh and we were a little fortunate to be ahead but this was a much more even match than our recent outings.
Scott Murphy and Sean White both played, the latter fr= om the bench and Hough put us ahead after Griffin's flat cross was headed goalwards by Rose. The keeper made
a g= reat save but Hough volleyed in the loose ball into the top corner. Ben Hayward was Captain in Sam Robinson's absence.    
2/9/17 A shocking first half of football ends with Eps= om 5-0 down at home to Redhill after just 33 minutes. Incredibly no further goals were scored although both teams
missed a penalty in the second half with Robinson havi= ng his saved in the 83rd minute on his birthday. We conceded after 63 seconds and have not managed to 
rea= ch the two minute mark at home without conceding in any of our three home matches so far. We remain bottom of the table.    
 
that we needed to see improvement over = the next five matches up to and including the Worcester Park League Cup tie. It was agreed not to tell   
the Manager about the meeting to avoid p= utting further pressure on him as the situation was already difficult enough.    
9/9/17 Glyn Mandeville's 150th match in charge does not end well as Spelthorne Sports win 5-1 at High Road. However, this was an improved performance apart from
a 15 minute spell just before half time when we conced= ed three times after 33, 34 and 43. We conceded after 11 but the second half= was more even. Hough reduced
the deficit after 87 minutes after he latched on to a through ball and rounded the keeper before slotting in from a narrow angle but conceded almost straight afterwards!
12/9/17 Epsom lose again at home to Horley 3-2 despite getting some early help when Hendry's cross / shot was flapped into the g= oal by the Horley keeper in the
fourth minute. They were level from a penalty for a handball by Hayward after 30 and then scored after 48 and 67 before sub L= iam Roberts crossed for Sean White to
sco= re in the 90th minute but again Horley were the better side, especially in the seco= nd half.        
Sep= t 17 Adam Heagney rejoins the club after a bit of time away and comes straight into= the squad for the trip to Farnham.    
Sept 17 Tom Harland-Goddard is released by the club. A= lso not sure about where Sam Robinson has gone again and it appears likely he= has departed again.
16/9/17 Epsom get a second point of the season in an entertaining 0-0 draw at Farnham. The quality in front of goal was poor f= rom both teams but both defences did
well. Marvell saw his thirty yarder come down off the underside of the bar and away midway through the second half but Farnham = had hit the post after 15 seconds
the= mselves!  A fair result.                  
22/= 9/17 former player Jordan Gallagher leaves SCR for Guildford City. We had put in a se= ven day approach for him ourselves.    
23/9/17 Epsom supporter George Holland represents Epsom & Ewell on the Danny Baker Radio Five Saturday morning show Sausage Sandwich competition! However,
he = was unlucky to lose 2-0 to a Bury Town supporter!.              
23/9/17 Epsom gain another deserved draw and on another day might have pinched the win against Hanworth Villa, who contained form= er Salts Michael Eacott and
Tom Neale. We led after 13 minutes when a Jason Nwachu= kwu cross was only half cleared to Liam Roberts and he fed Sean White to fini= sh past Eacott from eight  
yards. Hovever, four minutes later Villa equalised whe= n a low left wing cross was knocked in from close range. A number of bounces = went the way of the opposition 
in their own box but we had scares of our own still. C= onor Young played in goal for us as Colin Harris was away as were Kyle Hough a= nd Joe Loftus-Cheek.
Con= or has now joined for the season and would displace Colin Harris in the near future.

30/9/17 Another disappointing defeat at lower division Worcester Park who win 4-2, despite Liam Roberts putting us ahead with a = fine solo goal in the 12th minute
with his first goal for the club. We conceded after 35= and then again in first half injury time. Then another two were conceded afte= r 50 and 53, the latter being an own
go= al from McKay. Hendry finished off White's pass after 66 and Marvell hit the post soon after but we were well beaten in the end.  
7/10/17 Epsom lose heavily again, this time 6-2 at Knaphill. Despite having arguably our best team out this season, with only Hendry and Harris missing who would
probably get in the team. Still we conceded in the 6th minute and although Thompson streched to reach Dyson's ball in to lift it over the Knaphill keeper in the 10th
minute we conceded a penalty after 26 and then early in the second half the floodgates opened with goals after 48, 55 and 61 minu= tes, and although Hough scored a
penalty after 67 for a handball that was almost certai= nly outside the area, they scored a sixth goal after 78. Glyn Mandeville was = not there due to work commitments
so = Alex McKay took charge of the team for the first time.            
Oct= 17 Joe Loftus-Cheek, Louis O'Brien and Sam Robinson have now been released. Othe= rs may follow.      
14/10/17 Epsom draw 1-1 at Camberley despite only arri= ving with 12 players. New signing from Westfield Lloyd Connelly made his debut= and scored our equaliser with
a header from a deep Hatfield cross after 57 which was timely as we had conceded after 55! Murphy had already limped off injured after 35 and had no other substitutes. <= /span>
An = improved performance but results elsewhere ensured that the safety zone is now 8 points away from us instead of 6.    
Ben= tley Graham, Colin Harris, Reisse Griffin Adam Heagney and Sean White were all unavail= able for various reasons.

Oct 17 Joe Jasper joins the club. Had been living in t= he Plymouth area but has moved up and watched our match at Knaphill before applying to join the club by Facebook.
He= was at the Camberley match as part of the squad but wasn't at that point eligible to play. He now is. Doesn't stay long though!  
21/10/17 A quite incredible result takes place at Rust= hall as we record our first win of the season by a margin of 7-2 at Kent League Rusthall, who are a newly promoted
Step Five team. Two goals from Ashley Thompson after 14 and 16 settled any nerves. The first as he headed in a Hendry corner and = the second as the ball fell kindly 
for him only eight yards out, but we conceded after 36 before they had a player sent off for a foul on Hough after 41 minutes. We extended our lead after 48 when <= /td>
Reisse Griffin ran seventy yards with the ball and sco= red past the keeper for an amazing goal and then Dan Rose scored his first for the club three minutes later when
forcing a low right wing cross in off the near post. We conceded a penalty after 74 which was saved by Young but then retaken and scored as he was allegedly off his 
line but McKay who had conceded the penalty scored in = the 79th minute when he headed a Hendry corner in from close range and Nwachu= kwu scored twice in the 
closing minutes after 87 when he collected a left wing cross from Cristian Castell and thumped the ball left footed past the kee= per before reacting to a Hendry free =
ki= ck that came off the bar and drilling into the net after 93 minutes. White and Murphy = were both injured and unavailable while Roberts was working.  
23/10/17 We are drawn away at Whitstable Town in the Second Round of the F.A. Vase. The Godalming League match scheduled for 11/11/17 will now be played on 
Tue= sday 21st November.                  
Oct 17 Taryn Smith joins from Raynes Park Vale and Kane Grandison joins from Old Rutlishians. Both go into the squad for the North Greenford match.
28/10/17 North Greenford defeat Epsom 2-1 at High Road with a 78th minute winner. However, they were the better side and deserved the win. They led with a long
range deflected shot after 31 minutes but three minutes later Roberts was fouled in the box and Hough scored from the spot. Taryn Smith debut from the bench.
31/10/17 Epsom are very unlucky to lose 1-0 at Chertse= y to an early penalty for a foul by Young that was unnecessary. However, we dominated from that point and
Connelly missed a sitter after a great run by Hendry a= nd we were denied a penalty after Taryn Smith was fouled but somehow stayed = on his feet. A poor officiating 
performance allowed their keeper to waste approaching = ten minutes, yet the one card that was given out for time wasting was to Conn= elly after he kicked the ball into
the net after being flagged offside. However, we didn't muster a powerful shot on target throughout the match and badly missed Ho= ugh who was away and will be missing =
on Saturday at Bedfont Sports. Despite this it was probably our best performance of the season; more dominant even than Rusthall, but without the goals!
Aft= er the match it transpired that Scott Murphy has sustained ligament damage. He will be= out for a little while.    
4/1= 1/17 Epsom are outclassed 7-0 at Bedfont Sports. Goals were conceded regularly throughout the match.      
4/1= 1/17 after the match it transpires that David Thomson has left the club. He quoted family reasons.      
4= /11/17 The club confirm the appointment of Neil Grant as the new Coach following an advertisement for the position.  
 
Neither can play at Whitstable.                
11/11/17 An enormous number of players are missing as = we head to Whitstable Town for a Vase match and we are narrowly defeated 3-2 after extra time. We led after
Roberts was fouled in the area in the 13th minute and although his penalty was poor and was saved, the ball came back to him an= d he scored at the second attempt. We
conceded after 22 and then fell behind in the 57th min= ute but Ben Dyson smashed a Roberts corner into the roof of the net in the 83= rd minute to force extra time.
Unfortunately we conceded in the 108th minute and were second best throughout the match but with only one fit sub who had never played for us, it was always going
to be difficult. Kane Grandison debut and Joe Jasper d= ebut from the bench while George Murphy returned to the club and played well, despite hardly playing in recent
months. So many away though they are not worth listing= and Joe Loftus-Cheek and new signing Ben Franklin didn't make the coach. Loftus-Cheek had returned to the
club after being released recently, but this will not = help his case, even though he was probably celebrating his brother's England d= ebut the night before!
Nov 17 Ben Franklin joins from Guildford. He had played for us once in 2015 but had been injured early and never played again although presumably will now!
Nov= 17 Also joining the club is Endrit Dobraj.                
14/11/17 Epsom win their first league match 3-0 against Farnham, meaning that our two clean sheets this season have come against = the same club! Roberts curled a
twenty yarder into the top corner from a wide angle af= ter 10 minutes and then produced a great bit of skill to beat two men in one = move and slotted the ball past the
keeper from close range in the 16th. We absorbed a bit= of pressure but finished the half stronger and extended the lead in the 51st minute when a flying backheel from 
Taryn Smith put Lloyd Connelly through and he beat the keeper to the ball and rolled it in to an empty net. We finished comforta= ble winners and Ben Dyson hit a post
at = both ends during the match too!                
18/= 11/17 Dan Rose is suspended for this match against AFC Hayes.          
18/11/17 Epsom concede two late goals to lose 2-0 at A= FC Hayes. We dominated large parts of the match but couldn't find the target= and fell to a goal after 81 minutes
and= a penalty after 85. Endrit Dobraj and Calum Kennedy debuts.            
21/11/17 Epsom concede in 6 minutes and never recover, going down 3-0 at home to Godalming in a match between the two bottom sid= es. This was a poor performance
and= there appeared to be no real belief after conceding so early in the match. We a= lso conceded after 64 and 67.

25/11/17 Epsom lose 4-0 at Balham despite being as goo= d as their opponents in the first half, yet trailing to a thirty yard wonder strike after 35 minutes. Unfortunately
we also conceded after 47 and then were caught on the break after 82 and 87. They were very fast and although much of the match= was even we had nowhere near the
sam= e threat up front.                  
27/11/17 Epsom edge past a weakened Sutton Common Rove= rs team with many changes in the Surrey Senior Cup at their temporary home of Sutton United with a 5-4
win on penalties after 90 minutes of goalless action. Extra time is no longer played in this competiton. Only Craig Hastings of= our former players took the field, although
Matt Tanton was a substitute. It was a poor game with = few chances and we have now gone 399 minutes without a goal, although the penalties were all superb.

It was our first shootout since defeating Banstead Athletic in a League Cup tie in 2015 and our first Surrey Senior Cup shoot out since our 15-14 defeat to Egham in 2003!
Nov 17 It appears that Kyle Hough and Dale Marvell have left the club. It has been made clear that training is extremely important for the players and those who are
un= able to train are unlikely to play. Others may also have left. Dale appears to ha= ve left because he was an unplayed substitute recently.  
Nov= 17 Germaine Jeannoel joins from Gravesham Borough.            
Nov= 17 George Gill joins from Leatherhead.                
Nov= 17 Noah Stew-Lewis and Shaun Masterson join from Guildford City. Stew-Lewis is al= so former Leatherhead.

2/12/17 Despite this being our best day in history, two late goals enable Guildford City to win 3-1 and hand us our first defeat = on this date since 1933! We again conceded
early in the 7th minute but Scott Murphy equalised in = the 17th, which was our first goal in 416 minutes. However, many missed opportunites cost us and goals in the 84th
and= 87th minute sealed our fate in a game we should have won.            
Dec= 17 Anh-War Tran-West joins from Merstham.              
9/12/17 Westfield cruise past Epsom 5-0 at Woking Park= . We conceded after 13 minutes and another went in after 33 with further goals after 65, 69 and 82. They weren't
gre= at but still had too much for us.                
16/12/17 Abbey Rangers (H)(L) is p-p for a frozen pitc= h. Many other games on but at least the inspection didn't take place until 1= 1.30 at which point it was still solid.

23/12/17 Epsom lose 3-2 at Horley Town and again conce= de early after 6 minutes. They scored a penalty after 49 and although we pul= led a goal back when Jeannoel
just reached the ball before it crossed the line after= a defender headed it past his own keeper after 73 they scored a third goal after 85 minutes and a late 93rd minute, 
pen= alty from Hendry for a foul on Jeannoel was but a consolation. It was a fairly even game for much of the proceedings.    
30/12/17 Two goals early in the second half were the difference as we lost 2-0 at home to Walton & Hersham in a fairly even match, although we weren't as good in the
sec= ond half as we had been in the first. Goals came after 54 and 60.          
6/1/18 Samuel Marks debut (Farleigh Rovers) as Epsom l= ose 3-0 at Redhill. This was a more even match than the score suggested and we missed some good chances
before conceding after 37 minutes. A second followed in the 73rd and a final goal came in the 90th minute. Troy Williams has also joined from Farleigh Rovers but did
not= get off the bench. Sean White was Captain in the absence of Alex McKay in his last ga= me for a while.      
10/1/18 Walton & Hersham (A)(L) is moved back from Saturday 21st April to Tuesday 24th April as their new ground at the Walt= on Hub is double booked.
11= /1/18 Dan Rose tweets that he is leaving the club. Sean White also leaves the club = to go travelling with his first stop being Bangkok.  
13/1/18 Epsom break their run of eight league losses i= n a row (which was the worst run since 1971) with a superb 2-1 win at Godalmi= ng Town in a must win match at
Weycourt. Two new players made debuts and both scored = with Kyen Nicholas equalising a 19th minute Godalming goal with a sligthly scu= ffed equaliser from a great 
cr= oss from the other new boy Marlon Pinder who scored the winner with a close range head= er of a Lloyd Connelly cross in the 59th minute.  
13/= 1/18 Glyn Mandeville resigns from the club after the Godalming Town match. Neil Gra= nt is to be the new Caretaker Manager.

16/1/18 Neil Grant's first match ends in a 5-0 defeat = to Merstham in the Surrey Senior Cup but when considering the two division g= ap we acquitted ourselves well and <= /td>
actually hit the bar at 0-0 through Connelly with a 20 yard effort. The first 25 minutes were even but goals after 29 and 36 for= the visitors gave them a half time lead and
three late goals (77,81,87) gave them a comfortable wi= n as our boys tired. Marlon Pinder was cup tied so couldn't play in this match while Rob Hendry was ill.
20/1/18 Balham (H)(L) is p-p for a rare waterlogged pi= tch at Chipstead. The match is rearranged for 13/03/18 and the CB Hounslow ho= me match is also moved as
Chi= pstead require the pitch for a Surrey Senior Cup tie on 13/02/18. That match will now be played on 06/03/18.     
20/= 1/18 Programme produced for the Balham match was (13). Y.            
23/= 1/18 Programme insert used for the Abbey Rangers match (11i) to go with the original programme (11).      
23/1/18 Epsom lead but cannot hold on and are held 1-1= at home to Abbey Rangers. Kyen Nicholas produced a superb finish in the 30th minute to put us ahead with a
shot that went in off the far post but missed other simpler chances and Abbey equalised after 69. A typically feisty match between the sides and there was a scuffle
tow= ards the end that could easily have ended with a player off from each team.

Jan 18 Ryan Gunter joins from Burnham and was at Dorki= ng Academy. Alvin MacAuley joins from Merstham. Owen Skanes joins from Fulham United, an Australian team.
Unf= ortunately Skanes returns to Australia in early February without playing!          
27/1/18 Epsom get a good point at Spelthorne Sports fr= om a goalless draw. We were the better team but there were very few chances in= the match. Rory Sellick debut.

3/2/18 We are just edged out by SCR at High Road with a goal in each half of a 2-0 defeat. It was a close match against a team containing no fewer than six players
fo= rmer Epsom and one of these, Matt Ferdinando scored the opening goal on half time wi= th a second following after 56. Miguel Anderson debut.  
10/2/18 Epsom win 3-2 at Hanworth Villa after a goalle= ss first half. Conor Young saved a very harsh 34th minute penalty awarded against McKay for handball and we 
took the lead when Pinder set up Rory Sellick to score= his first goal for the club in the 49th minute. We extended the lead after Pi= nder found sub Dyson who scored with <= /td>
his first touch in the 69th minute but Hanworth puled = one back after 72 before another sub Kyen Nicholas scored with his first touc= h in the 88th minute. A 95th 
min= ute Hanworth goal made no difference.                
15= /2/18 Epsom remove the Caretaker tag from Neil Grant's title following the win at Hanworth as agreed at the last Committee Meeting.  
17/2/18 Epsom hang on for a point at Abbey Rangers. We started well but were pushed back and also lost substitute Joshua Caulcri= ck to a second yellow card within
7 minutes of his debut. A probable club record. We sec= ured our fourth League clean sheet of the season and Abbey became the second t= eam to fail to beat us this season.
24/2/18 Epsom have a second goalless draw in a row aga= inst Knaphill. Again we were second best but defended superbly in a very simil= ar match to the previous week.
28/2/18 Our match at home to CB Hounslow is moved back from 6th March to 20th March as Chipstead need the pitch for a delayed Su= rrey Senior Cup tie.
It = is then moved back again for another Chipstead match and will now be played on Tuesday 17th April.      
3/3= /18 No competitive game for Epsom. Very bad weather ensures that most games are = off this weekend anyway.    
10/3/18 Epsom draw their third consecutive match witho= ut scoring. Camberley had a man sent off just before half time but we were unable to break through.
13/3/18 Two goals in the second half enable Balham to = win 2-0 in an even match at High Road. They headed a corner in after 49 and scored a freak goal after 90 when
Young's clearance rebounded off the closing striker who rolled it in. We were worth a draw. Conor Young managed 319 minutes witho= ut conceding before this result.
17/3/18 North Greenford United (A)(L) is p-p. Waterlog= ged. Rearranged for Thursday 19th April as North Greenford have so many matches left to play.

24/3/18 Epsom are unfortunate to lose 2-4 at home to Bedfont Sports in another match where a draw would have been fairer. We conceded a penalty in the 13th minute 
after a Griffin challenge on former Epsom player Jason Nwachukwu but were level after 24 when a corner was not fully cleared and= the ball cam in to Ashley Thompson 
who took a touch and then smashed the ball into the net off the crossbar. However, an unlucky own goal off Dobraj and an easy fin= ish from Nwachukwu left us staring 
at a 3-1 deficit. Scott Murphy scored a superb free ki= ck to reduce the gap in the 41st minute and the second half was also very ev= en with the only goal coming in injury
tim= e when Young was robbed of the ball which was then rolled into the empty net from 20 yards.      
March 18 Stuart Yasha Tobias-Browne joins the club from Ashtead although requires international clearance as he had been playing = for Stokely Vale in Trinidad & Tobago!
Mar= ch 18 Calum Kelly joins from the Dorking Wanderers Academy.          
30/3/18 On a very wet Good Friday morning Epsom lose to Colliers Wood for the fourth time in a row on a Friday, this time by the = only goal, scored in the 55th minute.
We = were very even in the first half but once we had conceded we rarely threatened in t= he second.      
2/4/18 Banstead Athletic (H)(L) is p-p. Overnight rain added to the already wet conditions. Match is rearranged for Thursday 5th April at 7.45pm. Same programme used.
5/4/18 Epsom let a two goal lead slip at home to Banst= ead and have to settle for a 2-2 draw in a League match. We took the lead in = the 23rd minute when a dropping ball
was volleyed low into the net from fifteen yards by Re= isse Griffin. On the 44th minute a perfect Scott Murphy cross from the right w= as headed in from close range by Kyen
Nicholas. Unfortunately Banstead pulled one back after= 48 minutes from a corner and grew in confidence, equalising in the 63rd minu= te. A late "winner" from Marlon Pinder
wa= s ruled out for offside. It looked very close, but we just aren't getting the breaks right now, even though Banstead did deserve a point.  
7/4/18 Epsom fight back at Guildford only to fall away= and lose 4-3 in a match played on a horrible surface at the Spectrum. We conc= eded from a corner in the 3rd minute
and conceded a penalty to go 2-0 down after 41 minutes= but fought back well and Kyen Nicholas intercepted an under hit backpass to reduce the arrears on 50 and he
then headed an equaliser after 66 minutes from a Shaun Masterson free kick but was then taken off shortly afterwards and we lost= our momentum, conceding after 75 and
87 = so that a low drive from Liam Roberts became just a 90th minute consolation.        
Apr 18 it transpires that Neil Grant has lost two Coac= hes. Jordan Clark and Stuart Tobias-Browne appeared to be expecting more money than was available.
14/4/18 Epsom rally from being two goals in arrears at half time to retrieve a draw against newly crowned Champions Westfield, breaking their run of 17 straight league
wins. We were unlucky to be two behind anyway as one of the Westfield goals was a cross that dropped in at the back but Louis O'B= rien set up Loftus-Cheek making his
first start since November and he finished from close range after 52 minutes and he scored again as a ball in from Pinder was b= adly defended and the loose ball was drilled
in = by Loftus-Cheek for his second goal of the match. He was denied a hat trick = by a great low save in the 83rd minute.    
Fo= llowing this draw we are mathematically relegated. It was virtually certain after Banstead's result two days previously but this removes all doubt.  
17/4/18 Epsom turn a home match around after again trailing 2-0 to win 5-2. Two quick goals after 30 and 32 had us in trooub= le but a foul on Loftus-Cheek earned us a <= /span>
penalty which Murphy scored after 41 minutes and Thomp= son finished off a good move to equalise a minute later. Loftus-Cheek put us ahead from a half cleared corner =
in the 50th minute and Pinder scored with a low shot a= fter a good run. By that time CB Hounslow had already used their one substitute and were down to ten men through
injury and this became nine men with two minutes of no= rmal time remaining. Roberts was then bundled over in injury time and Heagney struck the penalty in.
19/4/18 Epsom produce a superb perfrormance to defeat North Greenford United 4-0 with all the goals coming in a six minute peri= od at the end of the first half. We could
have led earlier but the home goal seemed to lead a charmed life. Loftus-Cheek hit the bar and Murphy had one claimed by the keeper on the line. Louis O'Brien scored
our opener and his first for the club when he ran onto= a long punt forwards that the keeper had told the defender to leave and he finished smartly on 39. Two minutes later
he had a second goal as he hit a powerful shot that the keeper got a hand to but couldn't keep out. In the 44th minute Loftus-Che= ek ran on to a good pass and fired <= /td>
over the keeper from twelve yards and Nicholas did the same some 40 seconds later. The second half was more even but the game was over by then.
19/= 4/18 The win over North Greenford lifted us off the bottom of the table for the first = time since August 12th.      
24/4/18 Epsom are outclassed at Walton & Hersham by four clear goals on their first visit to the Elmbridge Sports Hub. Goals = came at regular intervals with two in each half
and= we were fortunate by the end that it was only four. Alex McKay's 200th appearance= .        
28/4/18 An entertaining match finishes goalless at hom= e to AFC Hayes, although Farnham's loss ensures that we finish second from bot= tom two points above them. We
had plenty of chances but didn't take them, although t= heir keeper played well too. Our keeper was Josh Burt, a 16 year old who perfo= rmed really well on his debut and also
bec= ame the first Epsom player born after 2000 to take the field for any Epsom team.<= /td>
